Twinkle, twinkle precious star

How I wonder who you are.

In this land that we call earth,

How do you measure what you're worth?

Do you look at others and try to compare

What they're wearing or the style of their hair?

Do you envy the woman who cooks a 5 course meal,

While the drive through at McDonald's for you is more real?

Do you wish you could sew for your child's school play

And bake brownies and cookies in the Martha Stewart way?

Do you wish your home was a tranquil kind of place,

Instead of a messy, unorganized, chaotic disgrace?

Do you long to be crafty, and turn junk into art?

Or play the piano with grace, passion and heart?

Do you wish you could run fast or be more athletic

And not so awkward, unbalanced, or pathetic?

Are you obsessed with your diet? Do you struggle to be thin?

Do you worry and fret over the jeans you can't get in?

Do you flip through magazines and see gorgeous models on t'v.,

Then look at yourself and say, "Why can't that be me?"

Do you think you're not good enough to be a mom and a wife?

Are you looking around envying someone else's life?
