John, Peter, Judas and Thomas ponder why they have been called back to school.  Surely it must be to study under a new teacher, as they are all convinced they've learned all they can from Jesus. But when Jesus comes walking through the classroom door, announcing he will once again be their teacher, the disciples are confused. What else can Jesus possibly have to teach them?  In trying to decipher what it could possibly be, the disciples begin to turn accusing eyes on each other, fighting, teasing and bickering, proving the point of why they are once again back in school.

Thomas: So, do you think Jesus is going to be our teacher again this year?

Peter: I heard rumors that it might be John.

John: (worried) I'm not qualified to teach this class!

Peter: Not you lunk head, the other John: John the Baptist.

John: Oh.

Judas: That guy is so cool.

Thomas: He's a real man's man.

John: Just don't ever accept his invitation to dinner. He had me over once and all he served was some kind of bugs...

Judas: Locusts.

John: Yeah, that's right--locusts dipped in honey. Talk about an after-taste!

(......later in the skit.....)

Jesus: Something happened the other day that I want to discuss with all of you.

John: What happened the other day?

Judas: Maybe he's talking about when Peter got scared. (laughs)

Peter: (angry) I wasn't scared!

Judas: (in a macho tone, doing the actions) "Hey, everybody look at me.I'm walkin. on water." (in a high, mocking voice) "Oooh, I'm scared. Somebody help me, I'm drowning!"

Peter: (drawing his sword upon Judas) I wasn't scared, okay? The wind just knocked me off balance.

Thomas: You better watch that temper of yours, Peter.

Judas: Yeah, someday you're gonna cut somebody's ear off with that thing!

John:                It's no use trying to reason with him...he just denies everything.

Peter:               I wasn't scared, all right!  (putting away his sword) I don't have a temper and I'm not gonna cut anybody's ear off!

(The other 3 disciples look at each other then exclaim in unison:)

All 3:                Denial!

Peter:               Maybe this didn't have anything to do with me at all.

Thomas:           Then who?

Peter:               How about Judas, here.

Judas:               What about me?

John:                Well, for starters, you never pay attention to Jesus. teaching.

Judas:               That's because he's always talking in those weird parables.  Half the time I don't understand a word he's saying.

John:                That's because you don't listen, Judas.  All you do is sit and read those .get rich quick. books.

Judas:               There's nothing wrong with being rich, John.

John:                Except that Jesus says it's easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into heaven.

Judas:               (mimics John's 'recitation,. then responds) Well, I'm going to prove Jesus wrong.

Thomas:            I doubt that.

Judas:               You doubt everything, Thomas.

John:                Well, I for one am glad that Jesus called us here and that he's going to be teaching us some more.

Thomas:            Of course you do, John.  Then you can still be the teacher's pet.

John:                I am not teacher's pet!
